At The Edit, we strive to deliver a service and selection experience similar to shopping in your best friend’s closet.

To accomplish this we require two things:

  1. Quality sought-after fashion

  2. Fashion-forward bargain hunters

Can I drop items off anytime?

We accept clothing by appointment only — drop-offs without an appointment can’t be accommodated. You can book a time through our "Consign With Us" tab. Appointments fill up quickly, and availability may be limited based on how much inventory we currently have in store.

We accept fall and winter items from September through November, and spring and summer items from March through May. Consigning within these seasonal windows gives your items the best chance to sell.

What is the split?

We operate on a 50/50 split. Your items will be displayed on the floor for four months before they are marked down and moved to the sale rack for another month or two. After this cycle, any remaining items will be donated to a local non-profit organization, such as The Elizabeth Fry Society, Egadz, or The Saskatoon Food Bank, among others.

This policy does not apply to designer items. Designer items will remain on the floor longer and will be repriced until they are sold or picked up by the consignor.

Tips for consigning

We are currently accepting trendy, current items in excellent condition.

  1. Please take a moment to check out our list of brands we love.

  2. All items must be freshly laundered and folded, stain free, and pill free.

  3. Take a moment to check buttons, zippers and hems.

  4. We are not accepting wedding dresses at this time.

  5. We don’t typically take formal wear such as bridesmaid dresses

  6. We don’t typically take business wear.

  7. We don’t typically take swimsuits and bras but if we do they must be brand new with tags.

Can I get my clothes back if they don’t sell?

Our team invests significant time and care in preparing your items for sale — from tagging and pricing to merchandising and maintenance. For this reason, we’re unable to accommodate item retrieval once consignment has begun, with the exception of designer and luxury items where we offer a bit more flexibility.

Do you take formal wear?

  • Cocktail dresses: Yes

  • Evening gowns (that could be worn for a gala or black tie event): Yes

  • Grad gowns or wedding dresses: No 𝗫

Can I return my purchase?

As a consignment boutique, all sales are final. We understand that shopping secondhand is a unique experience, and we’re always here to help you find pieces you’ll truly love. Thanks for supporting sustainable fashion!

Yes, we do in store! In any denomination you’d like.
